First-mile logistics refers to the initial merchandise pickup from a supplier and taking it to the nearest AM Home Delivery terminal. Vendors who use our consolidation and fulfillment services already have their items in one of our terminals, which simplifies this step.
Once an item arrives at one of our terminals, it’s loaded onto a truck and shipped to the terminal nearest its delivery destination for efficient shipping. Our middle-mile services are a crucial difference between our services and providers who use LTL shipping.
When a shipment arrives at the terminal nearest its destination, we complete the delivery to the customer’s home. Many of our competitors transfer shipments to other delivery providers to complete last-mile delivery, while we take full responsibility for the shipment until it arrives at your home.
When an item is delivered and the customer decides they no longer want the item, AM Home Delivery handles the entire return shipping process, using the same logistics solutions to ship the item back to the vendor.
